This course is designed to teach students a range of topics or issues which have not been covered previously in other courses.   Among the most prominent issues is the stance which the media takes concerning issues such as terrorism, Islam, minorities, etc, as the events on the world stage unravel themselves.  In addition, this course is considered to be an important course to the student of media since it is mentally and professionally designed to train students on the methods used by the media in contemporary issues and to afford students the opportunity to discuss such issues for the sake of introducing the students to the correct methods in addressing and dealing with the issues and exposing the students to the backgrounds of these subjects under study.
