This course deals with the theoretical foundations on which the Islamic thought depends in its vision of the media, its function and role in society. In addition, this course provides a review of the historical experience which Muslims have launched and tested in their development of mass media over the past fourteen centuries.  Furthermore the course deals with the features of the Islamic media system and discusses the different and similar aspects of other media systems.
