Under the auspices of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, the General Secretariat of the Association of Arab Universities held the meeting of the 45 Conference of the Association of Arab Universities at the University of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Fez-Morocco on 20th-23rd of March 2012.

During the meeting, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah National University, was selected as a member in the Board of Directors of the Arab Council for the Training of Students of Arab Universities (ACTSAU) 2012-2014.
Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, sent a letter of congratulation to Prof. Hamdallah for the new membership and wished him more success and achievements in his new post.
Prof. Hamdallah thanked the Association of Arab Universities represented by Dr. Orabi and all the members for choosing him as a member in the Council and hoped that he will contribute to the advancement of the council and the achievement of the Council’s goals.
The Council consists of members representing a number of Arab universities including the University of Jordan, An-Najah National University, Tanta University in Egypt, October University in Syria, Beirut Arab University, University of Benghazi in Libya, Al Ain University of Science and Technology in United Arab Emirates, King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, and the Yemen University of Science and Technolog.
In their meeting, the members discussed the reports of the General Secretariat about the minutes of the 44 meeting, in addition to implementing the decisions taken during the last meeting and other issues.
